Kicking off the resources section of the site, is my first addition called “Foxmarks” (if the title and graphic were not already painfully obvious.) Foxmarks is a firefox add-on that syncs your bookmarks with any other additional firefox add-on you have installed on any of your other firefox browsers. The best use for this, and what I use it for , is syncing your bookmarks between your main PC/Mac and your laptop. Aside from its tremendous usefulness, the best thing about the add-on is that once you set it up, it works in the background without ever bothering you unless you bookmark something and close firefox before it has a chance to sync. Then it only asks you if you want to and you can say yes or no. If you say no, it will sync it during its next scheduled sync even if firefox is closed.

The way it works is you have to go to their website, http://www.foxmarks.com, and sign up for an account. Once its setup and everything, they keep a file on their servers that the add-on uses to login and access each time it syncs your bookmarks. This could also be a downside, if you’re some kind of paranoid security freak who doesnt want anyone to ever stumble across your bookmarks, but I dont know what kind of security measures they have cause I really dont care. So if thats holding you back, you should look into it. Otherwise, enjoy the freedom of always having your bookmarks synced between your systems, if you’re constantly bookmarking everything like I do.
